On May 1st and 2nd, we will be holding our annual kindergarten screening! Our kindergarten staff take on this additional project to better understand our incoming Kinders and best prepare for next year. See the attached flier for details! #JESDinomites #futureJESDinomites
Glendive Public Schools has been working on getting our automated system working for absences. We will start our new system tomorrow, April 11th. If your student is absent, and the school has not been notified that they are excused, you will receive a call from our Notification System (377-9385). There will be two calls a day, morning (10:00) and afternoon (4:00). We want to make sure that you are aware of the absence and if you are aware, that you are reminded to call in to the school to excuse the absence. We thank you for your patience as we work out the kinks of this new system. If you have any questions, please contact the office of your child's school. Thanks!

The CHS Grain Elevator sponsored a spring food drive at Jefferson. Our school raised more than 1600lbs of food to donate, including 438lbs by Mrs. Berg's class. Shout out to CHS and our wonderful students, staff and parents! #ittakesacommunity #JeffersonDinomites #HappyFriday

I am pleased to announce that the professionals we had on site to fix our plumbing issue have successfully restored Jefferson's systems. The school is safe and ready to welcome back students Monday morning. We appreciate your understanding during this situation, and we look forward to resuming education with our students. Thank you all and have a great weekend!
Update on pipes: we have been in communication with the teams working on our piping issues. Unfortunately, they were not able to clear the pipe blockage tonight and will continue working on the issue tomorrow, and possibly this weekend. As a result, JES does not have working bathrooms. Because of the cold, we’ve ruled out the porta-potties as an alternative. Given the givens, JES will not be able to be open for students tomorrow. We apologize for the inconvenience, and want to reassure you that the safety and well-being of our students and staff is of our top priorities. Again, JES, and only JES, will not be open for school tomorrow. Thank you for your understanding and please remember, in all things, be safe, be respectful, be kind, be responsible, and be a learner.
JES wants to inform you that we are having difficulties with our draining pipes. We’ve experienced issues of water backing up. We have plumbers on site to address the issue. We are hopeful that this situation will be taken care of tonight. We will keep you informed as soon as we know anything. Thank you!
Wanted: An amazing human being with a strong heart, generous spirit, and a passion to make a difference in the lives of others.

A Dinomite shout out to all our parents who joined us for conferences yesterday afternoon/evening. Our impact is so much stronger when we're working together. Thank you! #ittakesacommunity #JeffersonDinomites #teachersupport #parentsupport
Buses will not be running tomorrow morning because of the snow. As with any situation, the safety of our students is the utmost importance. If a bus happened to get stuck, we do not want to have students standing outside waiting at their bus stops in the cold temperatures. Buses will be running tomorrow afternoon, as we feel the buses will be able to maneuver better by then. As with any situation like this, if you feel it is not safe to get your kids to school, please call the school and let them know. We feel it is important for parents to have a choice and make the final decision for their student. Please know that these decisions are not made lightly as we know these situations can be an extreme inconvenience for many families. Thank you for your understanding in this difficult matter. Again, buses will not be running tomorrow morning but will be running in the afternoon. We will also be continuing our early release schedule in each school with parent-teacher conferences from 2:00 - 8:00 pm. Thank you!
