Hi Everyone,
First off, we would like to thank everyone for all their help during the Lincoln School transition. We had a great group of GPS Staff, GPS Students, DCC Student athletes, and community members that helped out in this process. Classrooms were transitioned into the modulars and within the 1952 part of Lincoln. Unfortunately, there are several issues that need to be taken care of before we can have classes in the modulars. All classes on Monday, November 20th will be in held in the Lincoln School building. Teachers have some cool plans for our students that day and we will transition to the modulars on Tuesday.
Thank you and GO DINOS!!

We just got the confirmation from the Police Department that we can lift our Hold. We will resume normal Parent/Teacher Conferences now. The doors are now unlocked and we are ready to talk to our parents. Thank you for your patience!
With the active shooter situation that is happening on Marsh Road, all of our schools are on an active Hold. That means that our doors will be locked and people will not be able to come in and out of our buildings until we hear more about what is happening. Please do not come to the schools right now. We will notify everyone more when we know more. Thanks you for your patience.
Dino Families,
Lincoln students will not be wearing Halloween Costumes to school tomorrow for Halloween. Please do not send your child to school with their costume.
Thank you and GO DINOS!
Dino Families,
The heating plan that has been put in place at Lincoln School has been effective so far. We want to remind parents that it would still be a good idea to dress your kids in layers because there is always an element of the unknown with our old building! It likes to surprise us at times.
The students will be outside for recess and before school, so they need to be dressed appropriately for the weather. If they are not dressed appropriately, they will have to stay inside. Recess is a good time for our students to burn some energy and get some fresh air during the school day, we do not like to take those opportunities away from them.
Thank you and GO DINOS!!!
A message has been sent to all GPS parents. Please check your email, the GPS app, the GPS website, or go to the following link to see the message: https://www.glendiveschools.com/article/1304387
Dino Families here is a cool way to help out DCHS activities and take a drive a sweet ride. Thank you American Ford! GO DEVILS!!
We are just days away from the DCHS Drive 4UR School at American Ford on Wednesday 09/27/2023 from 7:30am – 5:30pm. (we will stay as late as we have people driving! If it’s close to closing, don’t hesitate to stop out for a quick spin!) For each test drive in a New Ford, Ford will donate $20 to DCHS, up to $6000.
Participants can preregister for Wednesday’s Drive 4UR School event at https://d4ur.com/R99RJ or they can scan the QR code on the attached flyer. All valid test drives must have a registration form filled out prior to the test drive as well as the post drive survey. Both take very minimal time! Please pass this along to all staff and please encourage ALL to participate in a quick, easy, fun test drive so we can reach the $6000 goal for DCHS!
Thank you! Go Big Red!!

Dear Dinos and Parents,
On behalf of the entire Lincoln Elementary staff, I would like to welcome you to the 2023-2024 school year! We are so excited to have
you as part of our LES school family! I hope you were able to spend the summer recharging and spending time with your loved ones.
As wonderful as summer is, at LES we are thrilled the school year is just around the corner and have been busy preparing for your
children to join us this fall.
This year, we will be hosting another transition day for our 3rd grade students to have a day of transition, learning, and building
relationships while being the only students in the school. For our 3rd graders, we invite both students and parents to our First Day
Celebration on Wednesday, August 16th. Buses will run on Wednesday for our 3rd grade students. On Thursday, August 17th, we will
welcome all students back to Lincoln with a First Day Celebration for our 4th and 5th grade students. This will be a regular length
school day running from 8:05 am-3:30 pm and buses will run as usual. The following will be the schedule for both celebration days:
● 7:45-8:05 Outside on the Playground meeting staff, eating muffins, and playing
● 8:05-8:25 Open House Time in the classrooms, unpacking belongings, etc.
● 8:25-9:00 Parent Meeting in Gym with Mr. Buckley
In order to stay up to date with all the things happening at Lincoln, I highly encourage you to download the Glendive Public Schools
app. It is the best way to receive information and news from our school. The Lincoln website is also a great place to become familiar
with. There you can access all kinds of information including the calendar, upcoming events, contact information for staff, the student
handbook, and school supply lists. Facebook will be used to share pictures and videos, but the app will be how we get important
information to you.
I look forward to welcoming all students back into our school. We are so excited to build a team with you all and know that it is truly an
honor to be trusted with your blessings. I cannot wait to get started! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at
377-1138.
Respectfully,
Ryan Buckley
